Roy, a valued member of Painters Local 2011, had been working with the union since July 14, 2025, dedicating his skill and passion to his craft. His sudden passing has left family, friends, and colleagues reeling from the loss of a vibrant and kind-hearted individual whose presence brightened every room he entered.
Roy’s connection to the community went far beyond his work. A graduate of Pennsville Memorial High School, Class of 2019, Roy remained actively involved with local sports and clubs. Friends recall him as a gifted athlete and a team player, whose dedication to his teammates mirrored the loyalty and love he showed to his family.
“One of our local players who played with us and other local clubs passed away in a tragic accident. My thoughts and prayers go out to Roy Mendez’s family!” shared a friend from his sports community. “Until we meet again, I hope it’s nothing but 4-baggers and airmails. Rest easy, Roy!”

Man, I am going to miss you every day. Roy, you were my little Superman. I watched you grow up, face challenges, and become an amazing father. I am so proud of you, boy!”
Roy’s impact was also felt in local recreational circles. At Liberty Cornhole, where he had recently joined and excelled, his teammates remember him fondly. “It is with saddened hearts that we recognize the passing of one of our members, Roy Mendez. Our condolences to his family and all his friends. Roy started playing with us about a year ago and progressed at the game fairly quickly. He will always be remembered by all of us here at Liberty Cornhole and may he forever rest in peace.”

I knew Roy when he was little , he would come over my house on harverd road and want to play with my grandson Matthew Mendez Munyan Roy’s cousin.he was a good kid and Matt loved hanging out with him . You will be missed Roy .RIP
